Not hidden. Reshuffled.
Refusing to answer makes you more identifiable, not less — almost nobody blocks everything, so blocking everything is itself a signature. ION answers every question, plausibly, with a different answer each time.
01A coherent persona per session
The GPU, fonts, screen size, timezone and language are drawn together so they make sense as one machine. An Apple M2 never reports Windows fonts.
02Drawn from the real distribution
Each persona is sampled from the actual population of browsers on the web, so yours sits in the crowded middle rather than standing out as an oddity.
03Stable where it needs to be

Questions people actually ask
Rarely, because the persona is stable for the whole session and coherent within it — a site sees one consistent machine from login to logout. Banks and other services that pin a device get a per-site persistent persona instead, which you can toggle in one click. That combination is why breakage is rare rather than constant.
Because blocking everything is a fingerprint too. Almost nobody refuses every API, so a browser that does stands out immediately — Tor solves this by making all its users identical, at the cost of speed and constant breakage. ION takes the other route: answer everything, plausibly, differently each time.
It's Chromium — the open-source engine — with the Google services stripped out and the privacy layer built in at the engine level rather than bolted on as an extension. Web compatibility comes from the engine; everything that made Chrome a data business does not ship.
Yes — Chrome-compatible extensions install and run normally. ION Vault is built in and included with a subscription, and the first-launch import can move saved logins straight into it, but nothing forces you to switch.
No. Fingerprint rotation and blocking work on your normal connection, and the browser is free. What the subscription adds is a residential exit underneath — so your IP rotates alongside your fingerprint, closing the last thing that ties sessions together.
