Welcome to this week’s Online+ Beta Bulletin — your go-to source for the latest feature updates, bug fixes, and behind-the-scenes tweaks to ION’s flagship social media dApp, brought to you by ION’s Product Lead, Yuliia.
As we edge closer to launching Online+, your feedback is helping us shape the platform in real time — so keep it coming! Here’s a quick rundown of what we tackled last week and what’s next on our radar.
🌐 Overview
It’s been another strong week of polish and performance across the board. With the major modules in place, the focus was squarely on tightening the Feed — the biggest part of the app and the one that defines the user experience end to end.
From syncing metadata and refining image caching, to enforcing comment permissions and speeding up load times, every change brought us closer to a seamless, stable interface. Wallet, Chat, and Profile all saw key improvements too, with smoother UI states and bug fixes that make day-to-day interactions feel faster and more reliable.
We’ve moved into the last phase: the final version of the app has been submitted to app stores, and any features we ship at this stage are nice-to-haves, with refinement of the core app now taking center stage.

💬 Yuliia’s Take
With the main modules in great shape, we turned our attention to finetuning the biggest and most dynamic component — the Feed. It’s the app’s heart, where everything comes together, so we’re making sure it is immaculate before we go public.
All in all, at this pre-release stage, we’re seeing more performance improvements than new features, which is exactly where we want to be before opening the doors to users. Most of last week’s work was about improving speed and responsiveness, and making sure everything behaves seamlessly under load. Just final touches.
Thanks to the team’s phenomenal output (we’re talking multiple PRs merged daily here!), we are now there. Everything is now in place, and we’ve submitted the final version of Online+ to the Apple App Store and Google Play. These last moments ahead of release are all about the refinements, nice-to-haves, and thinking up the features that’ll come post-launch.
📢 Extra, Extra, Read All About It!
Two new compute powerhouses are joining the Online+ ecosystem, and they’re putting decentralized infrastructure at the heart of social.
- GPU AI is building a global AI compute layer by turning idle GPU resources into a community-driven network for real-time, secure AI execution. With federated scheduling, encrypted containers, and tokenized incentives, GPU AI is powering next-gen intelligence — and now they’re bringing that energy into Online+ with a dedicated dApp built on the ION Framework.
- OpGPU is redefining cloud computing with a permissionless GPU and node marketplace for AI training, rendering, and high-performance hosting. From full-stack infra support to developer-focused tools, OpGPU is making scalable compute accessible, and their new compute hub inside Online+ will bring it all to the ION social layer.
Together, they’re expanding what’s possible for builders, researchers, and creators, showing how AI and compute can thrive inside decentralized social ecosystems.
🔮 The Week Ahead
This week, we’ll continue refining the Feed, focusing on improving performance, responsiveness, and load behavior to ensure a smooth, stable experience across all content types.
In parallel, the team will keep closing out the remaining low priority tasks across other modules, prioritizing fixes that directly impact usability and consistency.
Until launch, it’s all about the refinements. We’re getting closer by the day. Got feedback or ideas for Online+ features? Keep them coming and help us build the social media platform of the New Internet!
