This past week was all about tightening the current experience while pushing the major features that define the upcoming monetization release.
With the public build running steadily, the team finalized a pre-monetization release that arrives this week — a smaller update focused on refinements across Wallet, Chat, Feed, and Profile. Its purpose is simple: strengthen the foundation before the biggest Online+ version to date rolls out.
On the product side, the week brought smoother article editing, improved video handling and preloading, better Feed behaviors, cleaner notification flows, and a wide set of fixes — from chat media issues to follower list inconsistencies to link detection in posts. These targeted improvements continue to make the app feel more stable and consistent day to day.
Meanwhile, work advanced at full speed on the major features powering the monetization release: Ads, Boosts, Swaps, Bridges, and Tokenized Communities. Alongside them, development continued on additional big updates like Delegate Access, Account Switching, and broader system-level enhancements that will shape how creators, users, and teams use Online+.
And the big milestone is close: the monetization features are just days away from going out to beta testers as final components come together.
Because this is such a defining moment for Online+, this week’s Extra, Extra is a special edition — dedicated entirely to breaking down the six monetization features that are about to transform the platform.

Here’s what we’ve been working on this week to keep Online+ smooth, stable, and evolving with fresh features, optimizations, and under-the-hood improvements.

- Chat → Stopped cancelled media from appearing as empty messages.
- Chat → Muted users no longer trigger push notifications.
- Feed → Resolved issue where certain links were not recognized in posts.
- Feed → Fixed redirection to the previous screen after sharing a post to Stories.
- Feed → Removed incorrect notification for quoting one’s own post.
- Feed → Stopped push notifications from reappearing after opening them in-app.
- Feed → Fixed flashing “We’ll be back shortly” maintenance screen after reconnecting to the Internet.
- Feed → Corrected text width for notifications.
- Profile → Profile picture now updates correctly in the navigation menu after changing it.

This past week was another full-speed sprint, and it’s really showing. We’re pushing hard on the monetization features — tokenized communities, ads, boosts, swaps, bridging — and every day more pieces fall into place. It’s a huge update, and the team is giving it everything because we want it running smoothly on production as soon as possible.
At the same time, we’ve been preparing the next app version with an important set of fixes. We kept the reporting window open a bit longer to make sure we caught every last issue, and now we’re polishing the build so it’s ready to ship. It’s not the “big monetization release” quite yet, but it’s an important one — it’ll lay the foundation so that the next major updates land cleanly.
We’re also working on the other large features many of you have been waiting for: Switch Accounts, Delegate Access, and more. Like the monetization features, these will go first to our beta testers and then roll out to the whole community shortly after. It’s a lot happening at once, but that’s the rhythm we’re in.
Development never really stops now. The team is in productivity mode 24/7, pushing toward the point where all these major features go live on production. And we’re getting very close now… Just check out our GitHub — constant flurry of activity on there.
💰 Extra, Extra, Read All About It!
Monetization is right around the corner, so we’re hijacking this week’s Extra, Extra to give you the full tour of the six features that are about to supercharge Online+.

- ION Pay Card → A card you can use anywhere that brings ION into everyday life. Your daily spending strengthens the ecosystem and ties Online+ to the real world.
All these features work together to fuel the ION economy from within Online+, turning simple actions — like boosting, swapping, subscribing, or even spending — into a self-sustaining system that rewards creators and supports long-term growth.

This week, we’ll be deploying a new version of the app to production — the pre-monetization release we’ve been preparing. It includes a long list of fixes and refinements across video posting, the Feed, Wallet, Chat, and Profile, along with the improvements we’ve been lining up over the past two weeks. It’s a stability-focused update designed to smooth out the experience ahead of the bigger features coming next.
In parallel, the team is wrapping up the remaining pieces of the monetization features so we can open them to beta testers soon. Ads, boosts, tokenized communities, swaps, and bridging are all in their final stages, and we’re tightening everything to make sure they land cleanly once testing begins.
It’ll be another full-speed week of polishing what’s live, finalizing what’s next, and just powering through towards our big end-of-year goal — unlocking those major features that will define the next phase of Online+.
