The Online+ Beta Bulletin: June 30 – July 6, 2025

Welcome to this week’s Online+ Beta Bulletin — your go-to source for the latest feature updates, bug fixes, and behind-the-scenes tweaks to ION’s flagship social media dApp, brought to you by ION’s Product Lead, Yuliia.

Here’s a quick rundown of what we tackled last week and what’s next on our radar.

🌐 Overview

Over the past week, Online+ took another big step toward launch, shifting from structural fixes to performance enhancements that make the app feel faster, cleaner, and more responsive across the board. From optimized media loading to snappier Feed performance, the quality of the experience is now that of a production-ready app.

With early access registrations now set and our in-app notifications system fully deployed, the platform is becoming more real by the day. The team is firing on all cylinders: tightening the final bolts, polishing user flows, and pushing out improvements at every layer.

💬 Yuliia’s Take

It’s hard to overstate how good the app is looking right now — everything’s coming together.

This past week, our focus was performance: speeding up feed loading, improving how media is handled, and tightening the experience across the board. Not the flashiest of optimizations, but they make all the difference when it comes to daily use.

The team is excited, the product is ready, and we can’t wait to see people using what we’ve built out in the real world.

📢 Extra, Extra, Read All About It!

Last week, we welcomed two vastly different additions to the ION ecosystem — one focused on institutional infrastructure, the other one — on meme culture. Check out:

  • XCoin joined Online+, bringing its meme energy and vocal community to our social layer. And it doesn’t come alone — it’ll be bringing its DEX project, VSwap, on board too, to enable seamless crypto trading experiences.
  • Uphold is now ION’s official Institutional Custody Platform, providing secure treasury infrastructure across 300+ assets and 40+ chains. With $7B+ in assets under management and a 100% reserve model, it’s a major step toward institutional-grade adoption of $ION — which plays a key part in Online+ — and a more robust financial foundation for the whole ecosystem.
  • Early access to Online+ for creators and communities remains open! More than 1,000 creators are already in, and now we’re inviting even more community builders! Whether you’re running a DAO, a meme community, or a DeFi startup, now’s the time to give it that all-important social layer. Apply now!

🔮 The Week Ahead

We’re closing in on the final round of Feed improvements this week to make sure all content types display smoothly and that interest-based algorithms are working exactly as they should. The Feed is core to the Online+ experience, so every detail matters.

We’ll also be sharing the latest build with our beta testers to gather the last snippets of feedback from real devices and environments. That’ll help us catch any final edge cases and ensure everything is polished and prime time-ready.

Got feedback or ideas for Online+ features? Keep them coming and help us build the social media platform of the New Internet!
