The Online+ Beta Bulletin: March 31 – April 6, 2025

Welcome to this week’s Online+ Beta Bulletin — your go-to source for the latest feature updates, bug fixes, and behind-the-scenes tweaks to ION’s flagship social media dApp, brought to you by ION’s Product Lead, Yuliia.

As we edge closer to launching Online+, your feedback is helping us shape the platform in real time — so keep it coming! Here’s a quick rundown of what we tackled last week and what’s next on our radar.

🌐 Overview

This past week, we finalized core development for Wallet and Chat, rolling out features like requesting funds from user profiles and full chat search capabilities. The Feed gained expanded $ and # search logic, plus improvements to article visibility and video creation. Meanwhile, Profile now supports multiple app languages, offering more flexibility for our users.

We also tackled a host of bugs across these modules — from alignment errors and duplicate chats to issues with video uploads and phones going to sleep during full screen playback in the Feed. With these fixes in place, we’re shifting our attention to performance optimization, memory usage, and preparing the production infrastructure. As we enter this final stretch, Online+ is becoming ever more polished, and we’re excited to keep building on this momentum!

💬 Yuliia’s Take

We’ve just wrapped up core development for the Wallet and Chat modules, which means we can now zero in on stabilizing these features and improving overall performance. It’s a big milestone, and I’m thrilled to see how far the platform has come. We also introduced an update to the Profile page that lets users set their app language, adding more flexibility for everyone.

The next step is preparing our production infrastructure and conducting thorough regression tests to iron out any remaining hiccups. The team’s energy is high and we’re ready to give Online+ that final push toward a smooth, stable launch. We’re so close now that I’m already visualizing the positive reviews on app stores.

Leveraging the ION Framework, Metahorse plans to build a community-driven dApp that fosters player-owned assets, racing events, and decentralized social interactions.
  • Ta-da is revolutionizing AI data collaboration on Online+ by incentivizing contributors and validators with $TADA tokens. By building its own data collaboration hub on the ION Framework, Ta-da merges AI innovation with decentralized social engagement, ensuring a continuous flow of high-quality training data.

And a hint to fuel your anticipation: over 60 Web3 projects and no less than 600 (yes, six-zero-zero) creators with a combined following of over 150M have already signed on to Online+.

Keep your eyes and ears open — there’s a bucketload of exciting partnerships coming your way.

🔮 The Week Ahead

We’ll be thoroughly testing the Wallet, Chat, and Feed modules this week, moving more quickly on fixes now that most core features are complete. Work on the Profile module is also nearing completion, with some final touches in the pipeline.

Additionally, we’re turning our attention to performance — tackling memory consumption and reducing overall app size. With these optimizations underway, we’re set for another productive week refining and polishing Online+.

It’s only Monday and we’re already off to a strong start — we can’t wait to roll out these improvements and share the progress with you next week!
